A robot vacuum/mop combination is the ideal option for pets who shed fur. This machine can vacuum, mop and clean its own dual mop pad.

It also can save your home's maps and set cleaning schedules from its app.

1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest in Ecovacs line of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This wet-dry model is equipped with Ecovacs' upgraded AIVI 3D 2.0 lidar system that provides improved mapping and obstacles avoidance. The system uses dual laser LiDAR that is similar to the one used in self-driving vehicles. It can scan that is up to 32 feet by 270 degrees. This translates to more precise mapping, quicker response times, and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with a rotating mopping pad constructed of chenille fabric. This makes it much easier to scrub difficult areas more effectively unlike traditional mopping. In my tests it was able to clean the X2 Omni washed its pad in just over a second and got to work. I noticed that it was more precise than other models that seemed to follow a grid around rooms. It was able to navigate my rooms' corners and edges, as well as create an "Zambani pattern" up and down the middle of the room. It also returned to its OMNI station regularly to empty the dust bin and clean the mop with hot water before starting another task of cleaning.

The X2 Omni is as easy to use and set up as other Ecovacs products. Simply snap the dock into place then plug it in and pair it with your home WiFi network. It takes just about a minute. You can then open the app to start your first cleaning project. I was able dive into the settings and modify my floor plan in about 15 minutes, including creating zones that are restricted to sweep and mop and reworking my furniture layouts, and much more. The X2 Omni was astonished during my tests, with outstanding scores in the removal of pet hair and debris cleaning, as well as near-perfect results for edge and crevice cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

The EcoVACS T10 Omni is a powerful mopping and vacuum machine. It is the most advanced of the T-line from the company and features the OZMO Turbo2.0 mopping system, which uses dual-spinning brush for better cleaning than the traditional scrubbing. It also comes with YIKO built-in, a first-of-its-kind natural language processing technology that can respond to a wide range of voice commands. The ECOVACS App lets you plan your home, make cleaning schedules and modify settings.

The biggest con with the T10 Omni is that it's unable to switch between mopping and vacuuming in one go. The two modes require you attach and take off the mop heads as you need to and is suitable for most homes, but isn't suitable for people who have a busy schedule.

The Deebot T10 is a great robot vacuum that gives impressive results. It was able to remove more than 96% of the dust we tossed at it on our hardwood floors and floors, which is a remarkable performance. It also did a fantastic job on tile and carpet cleaning up more than 90% of dirt and dust.

This robotic mop and vacuum comes with a large docking station that offers cool water auto-cleaning for its mop pads, and auto-emptying into a 3L plastic bag that is easy to replace, and hot-air drying for quick and easy maintenance. It also has a large reservoir of water that allows it to be washed and dried more frequently between mopping sessions.

As with other mopping robots such as the Deebot T10, this one features a wash tray in its base that cleans and dry its mop pads as it uses them. However, it doesn't come with a removable tray, meaning that dirty water dust, dirt, and other grime gradually builds up in the bottom of the tray over time.

3. RoboVac X8 Hybrid

While Anker-owned Eufy is well-known in the world of robot vacuums This model is the first venture into the world of mopping. It comes with improved smarts, multiple map support and LIDAR scanning, along with twin-turbine suction technology that automatically adapts to the surface you're cleaning. It's a mid-range robot cleaner that's attractive, even if its claim of being a one-stop-shop for floor cleaning doesn't make sense.

The X8 Hybrid appears to be a standard robotic cleaner from the top. It has a circular form, the sweeping wheels, as well as an elevated sensor area. Turn it upside down, however you'll see an electric floor brush and one side sweeper brush that carries dirt from the edges into the main pathway of the robot's 'mouth'. It's a little smaller than the main brushes on the competing iRobot Roomba S9, which I found to be easier to fit under sofas and chairs.

Its mapping system allows you to create no-mop zones and specific cleaning zones. It has a tendency of hitting things like its charging station, and isn't great at climbing over carpets. It did a great job of picking up pet hair on floors that were not paved However, in our tests, it was able to pick up 89.5% of kitty litter, which is higher than all but the strongest robots we've tested.

The X8 Hybrid is controlled via an app, but it also has physical buttons located at the base of the. These buttons let you select the cleaning mode, or turn the robot off/on. Additionally, you can use these to set no-go zones as well as view real-time maps. It's also a bit chatty, and will inform you of what it's going to do next (start cleaning) or alert you if something is wrong.

4. ILIFE A4s

This advanced model collects pet hair, kibble and other debris with top-notch efficiency and maneuvers flawlessly around furniture legs. It comes with a feature set that is impressive, including two cleaning modes, an automatic docking station and real-time obstacles avoidance technology. The Wi-Fi enabled device can be controlled best through the Neato App which schedules cleanings and maintenance requirements are monitored. The X2 Omni is a great option for homes with a mix of hard and carpet floors. However it will require some planning ahead to avoid getting caught on electrical cables, toys or other obstacles that might be unexpected.

In our test of hardwood floors and kibble the robot performed very well and was able to take everything from one grain of rice to several pieces of dog food in just one go. It had some trouble with rugs, but generally speaking this vacuum cleaner is perfect for rooms with different flooring types and a mix of pets.

It's not cheap, but if you can handle the cost it's an excellent buy for those who want to leave their home hands-free to go about other tasks or complete chores. The A4s Pro also offers a handy auto-cleaning mode that automatically boosts suction power to handle difficult spills and dirt, and it includes batteries that power the ElectroWall which allows you to place boundaries where the robot is not allowed to access.

This budget-friendly robot from a renowned new brand is the most affordable we've ever tested and offers incredible value for money. The basic navigation system employs a super-basic random pathing algorithm that isn't equipped with room mapping capabilities, making it less efficient than the other models on this list. It's still able to navigate under furniture and into the corners. And its mopping mode performed very well in our tests and picked up hairs that were straying and other debris.

5. Shark iQ

Shark IQ Robot Vacuum: Self-Cleaning Advanced Navigation's iQ might not be as well-built however it is superior at cleaning pet hair from all surfaces. It does a better job of cleaning low-pile carpet and bare floors. It also uses smart-pathing navigational software for greater maneuverability. It can be positioned to a specific location, and has a suite of advanced automation features, including no-go zones and schedules. It allows you to suspend and resume cleaning making it ideal for homes that have pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll is able to prevent tangles and can hold up to 30 day's worth of dirt. It comes with angled side brushes to reach into corners and a multi-stage filter system to capture dust, allergens, and dander.

This vacuum feels solid and well-built, and it has a smartphone app which lets you alter the settings of your vacuum and schedule cleaning sessions in advance. The app also allows you to view the remaining battery life and receive notifications via push for any issues it encounters during a cleaning cycle. You can utilize your voice to control it using an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant device or, if you don't have either of those, you can mark off areas with physical boundary marker strips.

The iQ is good at cleaning bare floors and does a decent job on carpets with low pile and shaggy edges. However, it doesn't offer the same level of autonomy as our top choices. It's also expensive and the recurring expenses can add up over time.
