It can mop and vacuum, and even clean and dry its own mop pads.

It also has the highest suction power of any robot we have tested, at 8,000Pa. It also can save maps of your home and schedule cleaning schedules using its app.

1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum for dog hair vacuum-mop is the latest model in Ecovacs line of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This model that is dry and wet is equipped with the latest AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system from Ecovacs, which provides enhanced mapping and obstruction-free operation. The system uses dual laser LiDAR that is similar to the one used in self-driving vehicles. It can scan that is up to 32 feet by 270 degrees. That translates into more precise mapping, quicker response times, and better cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with an alternating mopping mat made of chenille. This makes it easier to scrub hard spots than conventional mopping. In my tests the X2 Omni took just over one minute to clean its pad before getting to work, and I noticed it was more precise than the previous models, which seemed to follow a grid path around rooms. It was capable of navigating my room's with its corners and edges as well as create a "Zambani pattern" across the center of the room. It also returned to its OMNI station regularly to empty the dust bin and clean the mop with hot water prior to beginning another task of cleaning.

The X2 Omni is as simple to use and set up as the other Ecovacs products. It takes just minutes to secure the dock into its place, plug it into, and pair with your Wi-Fi network at home. You can then open the app to start your first cleaning project. I was able to dive into the settings and customize my floor plan in about 15 minutes, including creating restricted areas for mopping and sweeping as well as reworking my wall-mounted furniture placements, and so on. The X2 Omni performed admirably during my tests. It scored well in the areas of pet hair removal as well as debris removal. It also was near-perfect in its results for crevices and edge cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

If you're looking for a powerful combination of vacuuming and mopping, check out the EcoVACS Deebot Omni. It is the most sophisticated of the T-line from the company and comes with the new OZMO Turbo2.0 mopping system, which uses dual-spinning brush for better cleaning than the traditional scrubbers. It also has YIKO integrated, a first-of-its kind natural language processing technology that can respond to a wide range of voice commands. The ECOVACS App lets you map your house, create cleaning schedules, and alter settings.

The T10 Omni's biggest flaw is that it's unable to switch between vacuuming and mopping in one run. The T10 Omni comes with two modes that require you to attach and remove mop heads in accordance with your needs. This is fine for most households, but not so for people who have a busy schedule.

The Deebot T10 is a great robot vacuum that gives impressive results. It was able to vacuum up more than 96% of the debris we threw at it on our hardwood flooring and floors, which is a remarkable performance. It also did a fantastic job on tile and carpet, removing over 99percent of dirt and dust.

This robot vacuum and mop has an extensive docking system that lets you clean the mop pads automatically using cool water for the mop pads. It also features an auto-emptying 3L bag that's easy to replace, and hot air drying for quick and simple maintenance. It also comes with a large tank of water that allows it to be washed and dried more frequently between mopping sessions.

The Deebot T10 comes with an integrated wash tray into its base, similar to other mopping robots. It makes use of the wash tray to rinse and dry the mop pads while it is using them. However, it doesn't have an open tray, which means that dirty water dust, dirt and other grime accumulates in the bottom of the tray over time.

3. RoboVac X8 Hybrid

This is the first mopping model from Anker, which is known for its robot vacuums. It comes with improved smarts, multiple map support, and LIDAR scanning, as well as twin-turbine suction technology that adjusts to the floor you're cleaning. It's a mid-range cleaner that's attractive even if the claim of being a one-stop shop for floor cleaning doesn't quite make sense.

The X8 Hybrid appears to be an ordinary robotic cleaner from the top. It has a circular shape with sweeping wheels, and a raised sensor area. On the other side you'll find a motorized floorbrush as well as one side brush that pushes dust from the edges into the main path of its' mouth.' It's a little smaller than the main brushes on the competing iRobot Roomba S9, which I discovered makes it easier to get under sofas and chairs.

Its mapping system lets you set up no-mop areas and specific cleaning zones. It has a tendency of bumping into things, including its own charging station, and isn't the best at navigating over carpets. It was good at getting pet hair off of bare floors. In our tests it picked up 89.5 percent of cat litter.

While it's controllable via the app, the X8 Hybrid also comes with physical buttons on its base that allow you to select a cleaning mode and turn the robot on/off. You can also use them to set no-go zones and see maps in real-time. It's a little chatty, and will tell you what it's planning to do next ("start cleaning") or warn you that something is wrong (it does not have enough power to charge, for example).

4. ILIFE A4s

This high-tech model sucks up pet hair, kibble and other particles with top-quality performance and is able to effortlessly maneuver around furniture legs. It comes with a set of features that is impressive, which includes two cleaning modes as well as an automatic docking station, and real-time obstacle avoidance technology. The Wi-Fi enabled device can be operated via the Neato App, where cleanings are scheduled and maintenance requirements are tracked. The X2 Omni is an excellent choice for large homes with a mix of hard carpet and flooring, however it requires some advanced planning to avoid getting stuck by power cords, toys or other unexpected obstacles.

In our tests of hardwood floors and kibble the robot performed very well and was able to pick up everything from a single grain of rice to multiple pieces of dog food in just one go. It had some difficulty transitioning to carpets, but in general this vacuum cleaner is great for large spaces with flooring of all kinds and a mix of pets.

The A4s Pro is a bit expensive but it's an excellent purchase for those who want to be able to leave the house with no hands on so they can get out and do other things or perform household chores. The A4s Pro also offers a useful auto cleaning mode that automatically boosts suction power to tackle tough dirt and spills, and comes with a battery-powered ElectroWall that allows you to define boundaries where the robot isn't allowed to enter.

This budget-friendly robot from a renowned new brand is the cheapest we've tested and provides an outstanding value for the money. Its basic navigation system uses an extremely basic random pathing algorithm and lacks room mapping capabilities, making it less efficient than the other models on this list. It's still able to get under furniture and in the corners. Mopping mode performed very well in our tests by picking up hairs and other debris.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ may not be as sturdy as the Roomba S9, but it does a better job overall in cleaning up pet hair on all surfaces. It gets rid of floors with less efficiently and does a decent job on carpets with low pile and also uses smart-pathing navigational technology for greater maneuverability. It can be positioned to a specific area, and has a suite of advanced automation features including no-go zones and schedules. It also allows you to stop and resume cleaning which is ideal for homes with pets.

The self-cleaning brushroll eliminates tangles and can carry up to 30 day's worth of dirt. It comes with angled side brushes to reach into corners and a multi-stage filter system that captures dust, allergens and dander.

This robot vacuum feels solid and well-constructed, and it works with a smartphone app which lets you alter the settings for your vacuum and plan cleaning sessions in advance. The app lets you see the remaining battery life of the iQ, and send push notifications when it encounters any issues during the cleaning session. You can make use of your voice to control it using an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant device or, if you don't have either of those options, you can mark areas with physical boundary strips.

The iQ can do a decent job of clearing bare floors and does a decent job with shaggy and low-pile carpet however, it doesn't have the same level of autonomy as our top picks. It's also expensive, and its recurring costs can add up over time.
