The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
A robot vacuum/mop combo is the ideal solution for pets that shed fur. The machine can vacuum and mop and even dry and clean its own dual mop pads.
It also has 8,000Pa suction which is the most of any robot that we've examined. It can also set up cleaning schedules and save your house's maps through its app.
1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest in Ecovacs line of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This model is dry and wet. It includes the updated AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system from Ecovacs, which provides enhanced mapping and obstruction-free operation. It uses dual-laser LiDAR which is similar to what is used in self-driving cars and is able to scan up to 32 feet in 270 degrees. This results in more precise mapping as well as faster response time and better cleaning accuracy.
It also has an alternating mopping mat made of chenille. This makes it easier to scrub hard-to-clean spots than traditional mopping. During my testing the X2 Omni took just over a minute to clean its pad and begin work, and I noticed it was much more accurate than previous models that seemed to follow a grid path around rooms. It was able to navigate around corners and edges of my rooms, as well as make "Zambani patterns" up and down the middle of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station frequently to empty the dustbin, and clean the mop using hot water prior to beginning another cleaning task.
Like other Ecovacs products The X2 Omni is easy to set up and start using. It takes only a few minutes to secure the dock into position, plug it in and connect to your home Wi-Fi network. Then, you can start the app and start with your first cleaning project. I was able to customize my floor plan in about 15 minutes. This included creating restricted areas for mopping and sweeping and rearranging the layout of wall-mounted furniture and much more. The X2 Omni performed admirably during my tests. It scored well in the areas of pet hair removal and debris removal, and had near-perfect results for edge and crevices cleaning.
2. Deebot T10 Omni
If you're looking for a powerful combination of mopping and vacuuming, check out the EcoVACS Deebot T10 Omni. It is the most advanced of the T-line from the company and features the new OZMO Turbo2.0 mopping system, which uses dual-spinning brush for better cleaning than conventional scrubbing. It comes with YIKO, an artificial language processing technology that is a first of its kind. This allows it to respond to various voice commands. The ECOVACS App lets you design your home, create cleaning schedules, and alter settings.
The biggest issue with the T10 Omni is that it can't switch between mopping and vacuuming in a single operation. The T10 Omni comes with two modes that require you to attach mop heads and take them off in accordance with your needs. This is fine for most households, but not so for people who have a busy schedule.
However, the Deebot Omni is a fantastic robot vacuum that delivers outstanding results in our tests on pet hair. It was able to vacuum up more than 96% of the dust we threw at it on our hardwood flooring and floors, which is a remarkable performance. It did an excellent job on tiles and carpets cleaning up the majority of dirt.
This robot mop and vacuum has large docking stations that provides cool water cleaning for its mop pads, automatic emptying into a 3L bag that is easy to replace, and hot air drying for quick and easy maintenance. It also has a large water tank that allows more frequent rinses and dries between mopping runs.
Deebot T10 has a wash tray built into its base, which is similar to other mopping robots. It makes use of the wash tray to wash and dry the mop pads while it is using them. However, it doesn't have an open tray, which means dirty water dust, dirt and other grime build up on the bottom of the tray over time.
3. RoboVac X8 Hybrid
While Anker's Eufy is well known in the world of robot vacuums but this model is its first venture into the realm of mopping. It is equipped with enhanced intelligence and support for multiple maps, LIDAR scanning and twin-turbine technology that adjusts automatically to the floor you're cleaning. It's a mid-range robot cleaner that's attractive, even if its promise of being a one-stop-shop for floor cleaning does not make sense.
The X8 Hybrid looks like a regular robotic vacuum cleaner from the top with its circular design, sweeping wheels and a raised space for sensors. On the opposite side, you'll see a motorised floorbrush as well as one side brush that pushes dust from the edges to the main artery of its' mouth.' It's a little smaller than the main brushes on the rival iRobot Roomba S9, which I found makes it easier to get under sofas and chairs.
Its mapping system allows you to create no-mop zones and specific cleaning zones. It has a tendency of hitting things like its charging station, and isn't the best at navigating over carpets. It was great at picking up pet hair from carpets. In our tests it was able to pick up 89.5% kitty litter.
The X8 Hybrid is controlled via an app, however it also has a set of physical buttons at its base. These buttons let you select a cleaning mode or turn off the robot. You can also use them to set no-go zones and see real-time maps. It's a bit chatty too, and will let you know what it plans to do next ("start cleaning") or alert you that something's not right (it doesn't have enough power to charge, for example).
4. ILIFE A4s
This high-tech vacuum model can pick up pet hair, kibble and other debris with great effectiveness. It also moves effortlessly around furniture legs. It also has an impressive feature set that includes two cleaning modes as well as a self-emptying dock and a real-time obstacle-avoiding technology. It's Wi-Fi enabled and best robot vacuum for pet hair self-emptying bagless controlled through the Neato app, where cleanings can be scheduled and overall maintenance needs are monitored. The X2 Omni is a great choice for large homes that have a mix of hard and carpet floors. However, it will need some planning in advance to avoid getting entangled with toys, power cables, or other obstacles that might be unexpected.
This robot was very successful in our tests of hardwood floors and food particles. It was able to pick up everything from one rice grain to several pet food pieces in only one sweep. It did have some issues with rugs however, in general the vacuum cleaner is perfect for large rooms that have different flooring types as well as a mixture of pets.
The A4s Pro is a bit expensive however it's a great buy for people who want to be able to leave the house without hands so that they can get out and do other things or perform household chores. The A4s Pro also offers a useful auto cleaning mode that automatically boosts suction power to tackle tough dirt and spills, and it is equipped with batteries that power the ElectroWall which allows you to place boundaries where the robot isn't permitted to be allowed to enter.
This budget-friendly Bagotte BG600: Upgraded Robot Vacuum Cleaner with Mop from a popular brand is the cheapest we've ever tested and offers exceptional value for the money. Its navigation system is based on a very basic random pathing algorithm, and it's not able to map rooms. This makes it less efficient as other models on this list. However it's still able to get under furniture and into corners and its mopping feature was very effective during our tests and was able to pick up pet hair and other debris effortlessly.
5. Shark iQ
Shark's iQ may not appear as sturdy, but it is better in cleaning pet hair off all surfaces. It clears bare floors more thoroughly and does a good job on low-pile carpet and makes use of smart-pathing navigational technology for greater maneuverability. It also lets you transfer it to a particular area, and its advanced set of automation features include no-go zones and scheduling. It even lets you stop and restart cleaning sessions and is perfect for households with pets.
The self-cleaning brushroll is able to prevent knots from pet hair and other debris and its bagless self-emptying docking station can hold up to 30 days worth of dirt before needing to be empty. It also comes with a set of angled side brushes that dig deep into corners, and its multi-stage filtration system can capture dust, dander and allergens to ensure a healthier air.
The robot vacuum is built well and feels solid. It has a smartphone application that allows you to change the vacuum settings and schedule cleaning times ahead of time. The app allows you to check the remaining battery life of the iQ and receive push notifications if it encounters any issues during the cleaning session. You can utilize your voice to control the device using an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant device or, if you do not have either of these devices, you can mark areas with physical boundary marker strips.
The iQ does a decent job of removing bare floors and doing a fair job with shaggy and low-pile carpet, but it doesn't have the same degree of autonomy as our top choices. It's also expensive and its ongoing costs can become expensive over time.
