A robot vacuum cleaner can help keep your home clean and tidy without much effort. The top robot vacuums for carpets have an array of cleaning options and can self-empty and dock their debris in an additional tower chamber after every run.

In our tests, models using smart mapping technology that moves in a grid-like fashion received high marks for cleaning carpets and hard floors. They can also create no-go zones which is ideal for pet owners.

1. Roborock S8+

The Roborock S8+ is one of the top robot vacuums for carpets we've tried. It provides amazing suction and wiping performance as well as a well-designed application and an impressively rich navigation feature. It has a smart-home interface that allows you to connect other devices like your smart speaker or Alexa. And unlike the cheaper Dreame L10s Ultra we've also reviewed, the S8+ has a built-in docking station that it returns to automatically and emptys after each cleaning. This could keep the dust bag full for up to seven weeks, completely eliminating the necessity of manually emptying the dirt bin of the robot.

The S8+ has a similar appearance and feel to the previous Roborock S7 MaxV but comes with an advanced mopping system. The DuoRoller and VibraRise mopping systems are superior in dirt and tangle elimination. With the improved HyperForce 6000Pa vacuuming capability, even the tiny particles of dirt and debris will be removed with no effort. With the Carpet Boost+ system, carpets are free of food crumbs and pet hair.

Other features include the ability to create a 3D map of your home, the ability to set no-go zones or cleaning specific areas and multi-level maps with the option of four different modes. The app lets you also create a route or establish an automatic cleaning schedule, as well as control your robot with voice commands when you're using it with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

The S8+ is a great option for those with carpets that have a medium to high pile. Its low noise level lets you use it while watching TV, working, or even talking on the phone. It isn't recommended to use it to drive up or down stairs as it is unable to navigate the type of surface. Also, its ability to avoid objects isn't as strong as other Roborock models.

2. Eufy RoboVac 11S Max

The Eufy RoboVac 11S Max robot vacuum is a good carpet cleaner for the price. It's fairly sturdy and the dirt compartment is of a good size and the battery's lasts for a long time. The only issue is the need for maintenance- there's a lot of components to wash and replace regularly. There is no app that can track the time it's needed to be charged and empty however, Www.Robotvacuummops.Com the remote can order it to clean it immediately or at a predetermined time.

The standard suction of the vacuum is incredibly quiet, and comes with a BoostIQ feature that automatically boosts power when it detects dirtier floors. It's not as strong as a professional floor scrubber however, it does an excellent job of busting dust on hard floors and medium-pile carpets. It can also be controlled manually to target specific areas or rooms.

It's not the most effective for getting rid of pet hair or removing large particles, but it's superior to other models that concentrate on cleaning just bare floors. It's good on high-pile rug. It's not easy to remove pieces of carpet that have been trampled, such as cereal, and doesn't offer a spot cleaning mode.

While the eufy is an improved model than the Bob Pro Bob Pro, it's not as good as the iRobot Roomba i3. The iRobot is more durable, has HEPA-filters, charges faster and lasts longer on only one charge. It's also more efficient in sweeping carpets and removing pet hair. The eufy doesn't have mopping features and may be unable to return to its base. However, it's ideal for an apartment or small home, especially if don't want to pay extra for advanced features.

3. Roborock Q5+

Roborock Q5+, a Red Dot Winner in 2022 is a well-loved design from the manufacturer. It's a great option to deal with carpeted surfaces. It has 2700Pa of suction power and makes use of PreciSense Precision LiDAR to locate the obstacles. The included application is a tool with lots of features that lets you create custom cleaning routes, change the power level, and schedule cleaning by time and rooms. It's also possible to add a pin to the map to tell the robot to stay clear of certain areas. That's a great feature for shag carpet, which might be wrapped around the robot's brush and stop its progress.

Contrary to other robot vacuum cleaners that struggle to transition from hard floors to carpet it effortlessly switches between surface types. It features floating brushes that are low on hard flooring, but it rises to move carpets. The surface detection system automatically boosts the suction power once it detects carpet. This power boost helps it take on larger objects such as cereal grains, rice, and pet hair easily while preserving battery runtime. It performed well in our Crevice Pickup Test which shows its ability to reach and remove debris from tight spaces.

The Q5+ also comes with convenient features, including an infant lock that protects it from curious children and pet owners who are clumsy. It also can work with Amazon Alexa, Google Home as well as Apple Siri for hands-free control. It is possible to remotely start a clean with a single tap, and the robot will return to its dock once the task is completed. You can also set it up to self-empty if you do not need to empty the bin manually.

4. Shark ION Robot AV753 series

Shark's commitment to dependability is evident in this robotic vacuum cleaner. It features a Tri-Brush System, which combines side brushes with channel brushes as well as a multi-surface roll for powerful cleaning of hard floors and carpets. It also has smart connectivity, which allows you to control it through the SharkClean app as well as using voice commands via Alexa and Google Assistant. This model is easy-to-schedule and has a long time. It's perfect to clean the entire house. Its sophisticated sensors include obstacle and cliff detection, assisting in preventing falls and collisions.

This budget-friendly robot excels in removing dirt from bare floors and does an outstanding job in removing pet hair off carpets. It is unable to remove fine particles like baking soda from low pile carpets and its navigation system is basic.

The eufy RoboVac 30C may be a better option, however, this Shark is more robust and has a larger battery. It also has a better range of automation features, including multiple modes for specialized cleaning jobs and the ability to manually select areas to clean. It's also less expensive than iRobot Roomba 694, which is arguably best robot vacuum cleaner for 2024 for carpets.

The iRobot has fewer parts that require regular cleaning, incurs lower costs for recurring maintenance, is substantially faster, and has superior ability to maneuver and surface-type adjustment capabilities. Smart-pathing is more efficient, and its boundary makers let you mark the areas of your home that you want to stay clear of. The iRobot also has a larger dustbin and offers an automatic surface-type detection that allows it to work more efficiently on different surfaces.

5. Wyze

Wyze is an affordable robot vacuum cleaner that has the HEPA filter that blocks out allergens. It has an electric charging station, but not an auto-emptying dock like some of its rivals.

The LIDAR sensor does a great job of building maps even in my chaotic office. This means the robot cleans in an organized fashion rather than just randomly bouncing off walls. It also has the ability to climb up the height of rug. It's not smart enough to spot anywhere that requires additional levels of cleaning, however, which would be a nice feature. It can't switch between carpets and hard floors like some more expensive alternatives.

Despite these shortcomings, the Wyze does a great job on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It's particularly good at removing pet hair and lingering debris from hardwood flooring. Its performance on carpets with high pile is a little less impressive, and you'll probably have to make an extra run or two to eliminate all the larger debris as well as medium-sized carpet, especially along the edges of rooms.

The Wyze is very easy to setup and use. After connecting it to Wi-Fi, launch the app and sign up for an account (it's free). You'll need to select the name of your robot and choose whether or not you want it to use voice control. The app will then ask you whether it would like to calibrate the sensors and set up a schedule. Then you're ready to start using it. The only minor drawback is that it's a bit too heavy for the dock, which means it's susceptible to getting stuck at the shelves' bottom and catching the charging contacts underneath and preventing it from charging.
